Scholarship opportunities for Friendship House Fayetteville are for students and young professionals in the fields of Healthcare, Allied Health or Human Services.
Scholarships for Resident Advisors and Mentors will be given priority to supporting partner institutions:

  • Cape Fear Valley Health (Additional Scholarships Available)
  • Campbell University (Additional Scholarships Available)
  • Fayetteville State University
  • Fayetteville Technical Community College
  • Methodist University (Additional Scholarships Available)
  • Southern Regional Area Health Education Center

Types of Scholarships

Resident Advisor
Resident Advisors are selected based on leadership experience, commitment to this inclusive living model and show a desire to help residents realize opportunities for self-development. Resident Advisors will serve as follows (This list includes but is not limited to):

  • Live as house mates and friends, setting positive examples to help foster the independence of friend residents by serving as exemplary role models.
  • Responsible for house consisting of 2 apartments’, with approximately 8 residents.
  • Committed to spending regular time with the friend residents; and facilitate regular group “check-in” meetings with friend residents and student/young professional residents.
  • Facilitates regular ongoing participation in events such as weekly meals, celebrations, and prayer with the Friendship House residents.
  • Provide leadership and act as the primary liaison for residents, ServiceSource and assist with conflict resolution as needed within apartments.

Mentors are students/young professionals who are committed to the inclusive living model and will provide the following critical roles (This list includes but is not limited to):

  • Live as housemates and friends, setting positive examples to help foster the independence of other residents by serving as exemplary role models.
  • Set positive examples and interact with friend residents during time of stay.
  • Provide a daily/weekly presence within the apartment and/or house by actively participating in the social components of the FHF community.


Resident Advisor: $300 per month or $3,600 annually

Mentor: $150 per month or $1,800 annually
